The head of the department is Dr. Moses Mandila who is an assistant medical officer with radiology training (AMO-Radiology officer). He has been at the hospital since he was employed in 2004, though he worked for 5 years at Digodigo health Centre as the facility in charge from 2011 to 2015 when he left for training in radiology.

He has been in the radiology department for the past 5 years now Radiology department is one of the key Departments of Wasso hospital in day to day of running of the hospital in care of the patients.

Over a long period of time the department has been running with an old Philips manual X-ray and old ultrasound machines and to some extend the hospital was incurring losses in terms of money generated and ratio of patients due to services and breakdown of the x-ray machine and ultrasound.

We thank our benefactors in particular the Pro- Watschinger for their support in services and repair of the old machines each time we requested for support from them.

Currently we have a new digital X-ray machine, an ultrasound able to perform various scans including Echocardiography and small parts if I may mention a few and we also have a new ECG machine.

All this has been possible through the support of Pro-Watschinger and to this we extend our most sincere thanks to them for support and making the department to have modern equipments.

The digital X-ray is able to perform many tests including fluoroscopy studies and normal bone and abdominal x-rays with are very clear for aiding the medical personnel in establishing various diagnosis and management of patients.

Currently the flow of patients has increased despite having a similar machine at a nearby Hospital
